Can't believe we were celebrating in Cabo six months ago already.
So, a few lover photos that I <3

Cabo + Photos
I've finally received my professional photos! I was so lucky to have so many talented friends there to shoot the wedding weekend that I was not stalking the Cabo photographer with my normal nagging.
We had much debate (Jeff and I, the photog and I) on prices and I am so happy that we did splurge on photos. It is the only thing you use after the event.
The event:
We were married on the beach in Cabo in a "toes-in-the-sand elegant" ceremony. I wanted to keep the wedding small, intimate and affordable, we had ~35 close friends and family at the all-inclusive Zoetry Casa del Mar. We chose this hotel for our celebration because it was small (~40 suites total) and luxurious (massages and top shelf included!).
To keep our cost down, we had a friend design and print (now opening her own etsy shop!!) our save the dates, invites and weekend itinerary "passports". We wanted to have a vintage/beach feel. I also designed my dress and had it handmade for under $700, the rest of the details were handmade by vendors on etsy (wedding shrug, hairpiece and birdie cake toppers).
I wore jewelry my grandfather had given me for college graduation, it was a pearl/diamond set, representing each of our birthstones (which of course made my dad cry).
Here are a few of our favorites....

Food, photos and prints.. oh my!

Prints that will make you smile
How to make: kitchen cabinets from wine crates
NYC photos from 1920
Cheap eats in Dallas, a checklist I can get on board with!
All inclusive doesn't have to mean bad buffets*
I had Ocean Prime($$$) and Tillman's($$) for Restaurant Week, I'll def be back to explore Tillman's other menu offerings. Ocean Prime- good, but the "Berries and Bubbles" cocktail was the best part. Make your RW reservations here.

Appy hump day!
I've been dabbling in photography for a few years, no fancy camera (yet, hint hint!) but I like to try to take natural shots of vacation scenery like the way a sun shines only in Maui or candid shots of my girls mid-laugh. I've downloaded a new app that I just love. It is Hipstamtic Camera and cost a few bucks but allows you to apply filters to your iPhone camera that give it more of an artistic edge.
The cost of a cup of coffee investment in this app sure seems easier to swallow than the few hundo for a basic Nikon camera.
Here are a few shots of my most favorite model, Diego.

From camera to print: the photo battle
I love taking travel photos and seeing candid shots from others taken around the world. My personal struggle is getting photos off my camera/computer and onto paper. Prints and photo albums seems so 1999 now, which is why I love doing travel books after my trips. It is a great way to affordably print and document your trip in an organized fashion. Although there are several ‘photobook’ sites, I love blurb.com for a few reasons: 1. The site/software is user friendly 2. You have a variety of page layouts and cover options 3. You can publish your book for others to buy, at a you-name-it mark up or you can buy other peoples books. How fun is that?

The staff’s coffee table picks are inspiring, funny and some are just plain weird.

I’m just wondering if I can request an advance for my Argentina book??
